What does it take to make our energy grids more resilient? Ask my students!
I had the distinct honor to work with an amazing group of Tufts University students last semester as part of the U.S. Census Bureau’s The Opportunity Project (TOP). They were part of a competition with a dozen other university teams to develop innovative and creative solutions to make energy grids more resilient.
Through a collaboration with the U.S. Department of Energy, the students conducted research, developed prototypes, and then launched their own solution. My students developed an AI-powered website to make it easier for non-profit organizations to apply for federal energy assistance grants: https://grantglider.webflow.io/
The whole effort was generously supported by the Data Intensive Study Center (DISC) at Tufts, with help from the School of Arts and Sciences and the Office of the Vice Provost for Education.
